Manufacturing of metal related products
Training is provided for key truck manufacturers’ brands, parts brands and mechanical servicing, for Mercedes, Freightliner, Scania and Iveco, enhancing knowledge and capability in Parts and Service areas.
Machinery training and certifications are undertaken for relevant roles.
We have an extensive internal apprenticeship programme here at TRT. Our apprentices range from steel fabrication and welding, to heavy diesel mechanics, automotive parts and merchandising.

Automotive Parts and Accessories Merchandising
Apprenticeship training programmes vary in length from 2 to 4 years depending on the trade. Practical and theory skills are completed by distance learning, on the job training, in-house product training and off-job polytechnic courses.
Your practical skills will be developed in our manufacturing plants, workshops and parts warehouses. You will work alongside our qualified team members, who will share their extensive knowledge and experience.
We offer weekly study groups for ongoing support during your time on the programme, our apprentices are able to work together and find this invaluable.
Apprentice of the Year Awards
Each year we celebrate the success of our apprenticeship programme with our Apprentice of the Year awards. The finalists are selected based on a number of criteria including results achieved, quality of workmanship and enthusiasm and commitment to their trade.
